THE POWERHOUSE IN THE BACKFIELD
Zamir White, known for his powerful running style and relentless determination, has been making waves as a key piece of the Las Vegas Raiders’ offense. Nicknamed “Zeus”, White has proven himself as a tough, physical runner who can wear down defenses and provide a strong rushing attack for the Raiders.
His journey to the NFL is a testament to his perseverance, overcoming adversity and injuries to become a rising star in professional football.
White played his college football at the University of Georgia, where he was part of a dominant running back committee. Despite suffering two ACL injuries before his college career even started, he bounced back to become a vital contributor for the Bulldogs.
During his time at Georgia, White rushed for over 2,000 yards and 25 touchdowns, playing a critical role in the Bulldogs’ 2021 National Championship-winning season. His physical running style, vision, and ability to break tackles made him one of the top running back prospects entering the 2022 NFL Draft.
JOINING THE RAIDERS
The Las Vegas Raiders selected Zamir White in the fourth round (122nd overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft, looking to add depth and power to their backfield.
In his rookie season, White played behind Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs, learning from one of the league’s best while showcasing flashes of his potential when given opportunities. With his ability to fight for extra yards and finish runs with authority, he positioned himself as a future key player in the Raiders’ ground game.
