Safety

Johnathan Abram’s journey to success wasn’t an easy one. His mother woke up before the crack of dawn to leave for work. Often having a tired mother and having to fend for himself, burgers and fries were a major food group.

Despite their situation, Johnathan and his brother were lucky enough to have a mom who never complained. She was even a big influence and pushed him to play football. Good job Mom! Look where it got him! It’s so amazing how often moms are right! During the 2020 season, it was quite obvious that Johnathan Abram can fly!

For all of his mother’s hard work, Johnathan tries to spoil her now. He reached his dream being chosen as a 1st round draft pick in 2019 – 27th overall. With a four-year contract worth over $11M, Johnathan showed his love and appreciation for his mom. Gifting her with a new car and house must have felt great!

As a Las Vegas Raiders player, Johnathan Abram is known for his brash playing personality and style. As a result of his determination, he tends to hit hard and learn fast.

Unfortunately, in his NFL debut, Johnathan tore his rotator cuff and labrum. His injuries forced him to rehabilitate for much of the season. He is now completely recovered from the injuries and is starting to become a key factor in the Raiders’ success.

After a rough 2019, 2020 was better, and 2021 was Johnathan’s best year ever. After 14 starts in 2021, in December 2021, Johnathan had surgery on this shoulder.

In April of 2022, the new Raiders management and coaching team declined to renew all of the 2019 draft player’s contracts. At the end of the 2022 season, Johnathan will be a free agent.
