John Spytek and his wife, Kristen Hutchinson Spytek, both attended the University of Michigan. The couple met during their college years and have built a life centered around family and philanthropy. The couple co-founded the National CMV Foundation in 2014 after the heartbreaking loss of their first child, Evelyn, to congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) at just 21 months old. Their mission through the foundation is to raise awareness and support research efforts to prevent CMV-related complications in newborns. Alongside their philanthropic efforts, John and Kristen are proud parents to their two sons, Jack and Thomas, who continue to inspire them every day.
