Brock Bowers

Tight End

Brock Bowers Las Vegas Raiders #89 may not have been the flashiest name when he entered the NFL, but the tight end sure started turning heads! His poised demeanor and sharp decision-making skills have his taking center stage on the team. Drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Bowers came in as a hidden gem, ready to prove his worth at the highest level of competition.

The expectations for Bowers were mixed at first. Some viewed him as a developmental project, while others saw glimpses of a future leader on offense. One thing is for certain—he wasn’t there to be a backup forever!  Brock’s here to compete, and when he gets his chance, he makes it count.

FROM NAPA TO THE NFL

Bowers’ journey to the NFL wasn’t an easy one. Unlike many players who enter college football as five-star recruits, Bowers worked tirelessly to earn his spot. His work ethic, resilience, and ability to command the offense eventually earned him a starting role, and from there, he never looked back.

During his college career at the University of Georgia, Bowers racked up impressive numbers, becoming a two-time John Mackey Award winner and winning two national championships. His accuracy and intelligence on the field set him apart, leading Georgia to key victories and cementing his status as one of the best tight ends in college football.

A RECORD-BREAKING ROOKIE SEASON

In his rookie season with the Raiders, Bowers made an immediate impact. He set NFL rookie records for receptions (112) and receiving yards by a tight end (1,194), earning him a Pro Bowl selection and First-team All-Pro honors. His ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver in crucial moments has drawn comparisons to some of the greats who have come before him.

THE GEORGIA BULLDOG WEARING #89

The Raiders saw something special in Bowers when they drafted him, and he’s already made a strong impression on the coaching staff. With the right development, he has the potential to be the future of the franchise. Wearing number 89, fans are eager to see more of him in action, and when his time comes, he’ll be ready. The quiet confidence, the laser-sharp focus, and the ability to make plays when it counts—Brock Bowers has all the makings of a great tight end.
