Trent Brown

Offensive Tackle

2021 Update – During the 2020 season, Trent Brown did more harm than good for the Raiders. After breaking NFL Covid Protocol, Brown tested positive for covid, the Raiders were fined by the NFL and lost a 6th-round draft pick. After appealing the NFL ruling, the Raiders got their 6th round draft pick returned. We didn’t see much of Trent Brown after that. He signed with the Patriots losing millions for 2021 with his new contract. We can all agree that he was overpaid by the Raiders.

Original Bio: In 2019, Trent Brown revealed that the first sport he ever participated in was gymnastics. As a big kid, he wasn’t good, but he could do cartwheels and flip and most of the apparatus’ in the gym after a while. Living in a small town, wrestling was the sport to be great at, so he wrestled. He’s 6’8″ frame has held a yo-yo of weights while looking for his optimum size as an adult.

Trent Brown’s professional football career started by being drafted in the 7th round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. After 3 years on the 49ers, he headed to the New England Patriots. While on the Patriots, he became a 2018 Super Bowl Winning Tackle.

A year later, becoming a free agent and Gruden building his offensive and defensive lines, The Raiders signed him to a 4-year, $66 Million contract to have Trent Brown become a key factor on the offensive line. Unfortunately, Trent received a pectoral injury during week 12 of the 2019 season ended his first season with the Raiders on the injury list.

Did You Know?

Thankfully Trent Brown was born 3 weeks early so his birth was relatively easy. Now 20 years later, Trent is wearing a size 18 shoe, and weighs in at 280 pounds at 6′ 8″.  At times, Brown has been the tallest and heaviest player in the NFL. His 36-inch arms gave him an 87 3/8 inch wingspan.

Despite slimming down to 358 pounds in 2017, he went back to 380 pounds but is back down to 359 starting the 2020 season. The Raiders believe that Brown is one of the best tackles in the game because of his skillset and insane athleticism for his size. Injured again in Week 1 of the 2020 season, time will tell if he’ll continue to be an asset to the Raiders offensive line.
